Cool DIY Car Window Tinting
Enhance the look of your car and keep the interior cooler in hot weather in one easy DIY step with the new Wildcat Static Cling Tint.
Now available in New Zealand, Wildcat Static Cling Tint provides the perfect solution to adding a protective layer to the windows to help keep out harmful UV rays and scorching heat, without expensive professional tinting.
It also provides a touch of privacy for the vehicle’s occupants behind the tinted glass, with only 5% of visible light transmitted, meaning the windows appear almost black from the outside yet occupants still have a great view out.
“Static window tint is easy to install as it contains no glue, can be fitted in just minutes and doesn’t require any specialist tools,” says Tim Paterson, National Sales Manager for Griffiths Equipment, which distributes Wildcat automotive accessories and products throughout New Zealand.
“By reducing the heat inside the car, it helps to keep the cabin cooler and much more comfortable on hot summer days, which would undoubtedly make for safer and more relaxed driving – there’s less glare, too.”
The new Wildcat Static Cling Tint also prevents the sun from fading and damaging the interior seating and dashboard. It can even be used on windows around the home to similarly reduce heat, glare and fabric fading.
Mr Paterson says one of the advantages of static cling tint is that it’s very easy to remove when no longer needed and doesn’t leave any residue on the glass. Once removed, the film can be reused on another glass surface.
Wildcat Static Cling Film comes in a roll measuring 510mm x 1800mm and installation is a relatively simple procedure, although it is very important that the surface of the glass is completely free from dirt or dust. Then, just roll the film onto the glass and smooth out, before cutting any excess.
Wildcat Static Cling Film is now available from leading automotive stores throughout New Zealand.
