Enhance Driving Visibility With Rain-X 2-in-1 Foaming Glass Cleaner

A new way to clean windscreens – and keep them cleaner for longer – has been introduced by Rain-X and is now available in New Zealand.

It’s the Rain X 2-in-1 Foaming Glass Cleaner + Rain Repellent, which combines two products in a handy aerosol that drivers can use to wipe away the winter grime while applying Rain-X repellent at the same time.

“Roads stay wet for much longer during the winter and, consequently, a film of dirt and grime can build up very quickly in following traffic,” says Tim Paterson, National Sales Manager with Griffiths Equipment, which imports and distributes Rain-X products to automotive and other retail outlets throughout New Zealand.

“Over time that build-up of dirt, grime, oil and other chemicals becomes more difficult to remove, so you really need a product that will prevent it from building up in the first place, which is why Rain-X developed the 2-in-1 Foaming Glass Cleaner + Rain Repellent.”

The special foaming formulation makes it easier to remove grease and grime that is already on the windscreen, leaving the glass streak-free and improving driver visibility, especially in poor light conditions and at night.

The foaming glass cleaner incorporates Rain-X water beading technology that repels rain and also spray from other vehicles by causing water to bead up and roll away, taking any dirt, grime, oil and chemicals with it.

“Tests have shown that driving visibility is dramatically reduced with even moderate amounts of grime on the windscreen, which can lower the driver’s reaction times and lead to accidents,” adds Mr Paterson.

“And if you try and use plain water or ordinary washes you can end up with streaks on the glass, which are very difficult to see through when the headlights from on-coming cars scatter the light during night driving. You really do need your windscreen to be streak-free.”

Rain X 2-in-1 Foaming Glass Cleaner + Rain Repellent is simple to use. Just spray directly onto the surface of the vehicle’s glass. Allow to foam then wipe with a dry paper towel, 100% cotton cloth or microfiber towel – no buffing is required.

The special chemical formulation in the foaming cleaner helps prevent sleet and snow from settling and can deter ice from forming on the glass on frosty nights. It will also prevent bugs and difficult to remove materials, such as tar, from sticking to the glass.
